Construction work has already begun on the 100-megawatt data processing centre in Buryatia – a Russian republic in eastern Siberia – slated for completion in the first half of 2023. (RBK)
The facility will house 30K mining devices worth over $12.3mn – creating about 100 new jobs in the process, according to a press release.
The operational arm of Russia’s biggest mining firm Bitriver is responsible for the project and will receive a wide range of state support tools – including a sizeable reduction in their electricity tariff.
